| Other Names: | Pacific Snapper, Pacific Perch, Rock Cod, Red Snapper |
| Description: | There are at least 25-50 different species of Rockfish that we label here as Snapper. The only true Red Snapper is a very expensive fish found in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean, so there is a lot of confusion over the issue. Rockfish vary drastically in color from one species to another. All rockfish species grow slowly and are fished heavily which makes the future unknown. |
